About this tool
This annual salary calculator converts your yearly pay before tax into estimated monthly and yearly take-home pay for 2026. The yearly amount is divided by 12, or by 13 if your contract says severance pay is included in the annual figure. Then the four social insurances are deducted: National Pension 4.75 percent with a base income range (410,000 to 6,590,000 won from July 2026), Health Insurance 3.595 percent, Long-term Care 13.14 percent of the health premium, and Employment Insurance 0.9 percent. Income tax follows an approximation of the simplified withholding table and local income tax is 10 percent of it. Meal pay up to 200,000 won a month is non-taxable. For example, an annual salary of 40,000,000 won (about 3,333,333 won a month) with 1 dependent and 200,000 won non-taxable leaves roughly 2,944,850 won a month, or about 35.3 million won a year. Below the calculator you will find a take-home table for salaries from 24 million to 100 million won, assuming 1 dependent and 200,000 won non-taxable, which is handy when you compare job offers. Real payslips depend on your employer, bonuses and year-end settlement. The numbers are for reference only and do not replace advice from a tax or labor professional.
