About this tool
This online coin flip is a quick way to get heads or tails when two options feel equal and you just want to move on: who picks the restaurant, who goes first, which of two shirts to wear.
Tap the button, watch the coin spin for less than a second, and read the result.
Below the coin you will see how many heads and tails you have flipped, the percentage of each, your current streak and the last twenty results. Is a coin flip really 50/50?
Here each flip is drawn from your browser's secure random generator, so heads and tails have the same chance every time. Why do I get five heads in a row?
Streaks are normal in random results and do not mean the coin is broken; a short run of flips will rarely look perfectly even, but the the percentages get closer to half and half as you keep going.
Tip: decide the rule before you flip, such as heads means the first option, and then stick to it. If you need more than two outcomes, use the dice roller, the menu roulette or the ladder game.
This tool is for everyday decisions and turn order only. Nothing you do is saved or sent anywhere. Not for betting or gambling.
