About this tool
This free image converter and compressor turns HEIC photos from your iPhone into JPG, and converts between JPG, PNG and WebP.
You can also set a maximum width or height and lower the quality to make files much smaller for email, forms and websites.
Your photos are never uploaded. All the work happens inside your browser on your own device, so there is no upload, no waiting in a queue and no copy of your pictures anywhere else.
For HEIC files only, the page downloads an open-source decoder (heic2any, MIT license) from the jsDelivr CDN; your photo itself is never sent.
Because each image is re-encoded, hidden EXIF data such as GPS location and camera details is removed, which is handy before sharing a photo online.
Pick several files at once, compare the size before and after, and download them one by one or all together. Quality of 70 to 85 usually keeps a photo looking the same while cutting its size a lot.
PNG is lossless, so it can stay large. Images over 50 MB or 40 megapixels are skipped to keep your device responsive. Converting a lossy format again can slightly reduce quality, so keep your originals.
