About this tool

This calculator estimates monthly pay for a part-time job in Korea.

Base pay is your hourly wage times all hours worked, using 4.345 weeks per month.

At workplaces with five or more employees, overtime (beyond 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week) and night work (22:00 to 06:00) add 50% of the hourly wage, and holiday work adds 50%, or 100% for hours beyond 8 on that day.

Workplaces with fewer than five employees do not owe these premiums, but they still owe weekly holiday pay.

Weekly holiday pay applies if you work at least 15 hours a week and attend every scheduled day, and equals weekly hours (up to 40) divided by 40 times 8 hours times your wage.

For example, at 10,320 KRW an hour and 5 days of 4 hours, base pay is about 896,800 KRW and weekly holiday pay is about 179,360 KRW, so monthly pay is about 1,076,170 KRW before tax.

A 3.3% withholding would remove about 35,500 KRW. If you are not sure how many employees your workplace has, the calculator shows both cases.

The 2026 minimum wage is 10,320 KRW an hour, and the result is an estimate for reference that was not provided or verified by any government agency.

Your actual pay depends on your contract, so confirm with your employer or the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

How to use

  1. Enter your hourly wage (the 2026 minimum wage is filled in) and pick the workplace size, or leave it as not sure.
  2. Enter work days per week and regular hours per day.
  3. Add monthly night, overtime and holiday hours if any.
  4. Choose a take-home example (3.3%, four insurances or none) and read the monthly pay.
