About this tool
In Korean Saju, each person has a Day Master, the heavenly stem of the birth day, which belongs to one of the Five Elements.
The elements relate to each other in two classic cycles. In the generating cycle, Wood feeds Fire, Fire creates Earth, Earth bears Metal, Metal carries Water and Water nourishes Wood.
In the controlling cycle, Wood parts Earth, Earth dams Water, Water puts out Fire, Fire melts Metal and Metal cuts Wood.
This tool compares the Day Master elements of two birth dates, adds a small bonus when one person is Yin and the other Yang, and turns the relationship into a friendship score and a warm explanation.
Supporting pairs score the highest, same-element pairs feel like mirrors, and challenging pairs bring spark and growth, but nobody scores below 55 because every friendship has its own charm.
Only dates are needed, not names or birth times, and the share text never includes anyone's birth date. The calculation happens in your browser, and the birth dates you enter are never stored or sent to our server.
