About this tool
A random number generator picks whole numbers between a minimum and a maximum that you choose, so you can settle who goes first, assign numbers to a group, choose a seat, or make sample data without thinking of numbers yourself.
Enter the range, how many numbers you want, and decide whether each number may appear only once. How do I pick numbers without repeats?
Keep the no-repeat option on; the tool then shuffles the whole range and takes the first few, so every number has the same chance.
If you ask for more different numbers than the range contains, for example 6 numbers from 1 to 5, it tells you instead of guessing. You can also sort the result from small to large and copy it.
For example, 5 numbers from 1 to 30 with no repeats might give 4, 11, 17, 23, 28. The numbers come from the secure random generator built into your browser, with no bias toward small values.
Everything stays in your browser and nothing is sent or saved. For dice and coins see the Dice Roller, and for random passwords use the Password Generator on this site.
