About this tool
This free winter prep checklist covers 60 small jobs in five groups so you are ready before the first cold wave: clothes and warmth, room and home, everyday skin and hair care, going out without a car, and winter mood.
If you search for a winter preparation list, a "getting ready for winter" checklist or what to prepare for cold weather, this page lets you tick things off and keeps your progress, so you do not have to remember where you stopped.
How does it work? Open a group and tap each task when it is done. A ring at the top shows the percentage of your total list, and each group has a mini bar.
You can add your own tasks, like a family errand or a gift you need to buy. Your checks stay on this device, and a small streak line shows how many days in a row you opened the page.
It is meant as a gentle reminder to do a few items each weekend rather than everything in one night. Late autumn is a good time, because blankets, coats and heaters are easy to deal with before the weather turns.
What is in the groups? Clothes cover coats, scarves, gloves, base layers, boots and small repairs.
Room covers washing bedding, checking a heating pad, cleaning a humidifier filter, sealing drafts around windows and making a cozy corner.
The skin and hair group is only about everyday habits such as moisturizer, hand cream, lip balm and static-free hair routines. It does not give treatment advice.
Going out is written for people who walk and use public transport: a charged transit card, pocket warmers, touchscreen gloves, a power bank, and ten extra minutes for slippery roads.
Winter mood is the fun part with playlists, warm drinks, small lights and a book for the blanket. Can I use it with friends or family? Yes, share the progress card to compare or to split jobs. Is my data uploaded? No.
Everything you tick is saved only in your browser with no account, so clearing site data starts a new list. You can use "Start over" each season. This list is a personal planning tool for fun and comfort.
Dress for the weather where you live, and ask a professional if you have concerns about heating equipment, skin conditions or health.
