About this tool
An attendance calculator shows how many absences are allowed in a course and how many you have left.
Enter the total number of classes in the term, the fraction your school uses as the limit, how many classes have been held and how many you missed.
For example, a course with 30 classes and a one third limit allows 10 absences, so you must attend at least 20 classes, and with 4 absences already you have 6 left. Does hitting exactly one third count as failing?
It depends on the school: some say one third or more is not allowed, others allow up to one third, so the tool has a boundary switch for both readings. How do I read the numbers?
Absence limit is the most you can miss in total, absences left may go negative if you are over, current attendance rate uses only the classes held so far, and final rate assumes no more absences.
Late arrivals may count as absences in some courses, for example three lates as one absence, so add them to your absences yourself. For grades, see the GPA calculator or the school grade average calculator.
School and professor rules come first, so always check your syllabus or the academic regulations. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
