About this tool

A days lived calculator answers a simple question: how many days old am I?

Enter your date of birth and this page counts the days from that date to today, shows the same number as weeks and days, and tells you the date and weekday of your next 1,000-day milestone.

It also shows the day your life reaches 10,000 days and 20,000 days if those are still ahead of you. How are the days counted? The day you were born is day 0, so someone born yesterday is 1 day old.

For example, a person born on January 1, 2000 reaches 10,000 days on May 19, 2027. When is the next milestone?

It is the next multiple of 1,000, such as day 9,000 or day 10,000, and the page tells you how many days are left.

Many people mark these round numbers instead of, or in addition to, a birthday, and the result can be copied as a short message to send to a friend.

The count uses the date on your device and ignores the time of day and time zone of birth, so it can differ by a day from someone who counts the birth day as day 1. Leap years are included automatically.

For birthdays and weekdays, see the Day of Week Calculator and the Birthday Countdown. Your birth date is used only in this browser to do the math and is never sent, stored or remembered.

How to use

  1. Pick your date of birth.
  2. Read how many days old you are today, in days, weeks and days.
  3. See the date of your next 1,000-day milestone and day 10,000, then copy the message to share.
