About this tool

This free PDF tool lets you merge several PDF files into one document, or split one PDF into smaller files.

To merge, choose your files, put them in the right order with the up and down buttons or by dragging, and download a single combined PDF.

To split, type page ranges such as 1-3,5,8-10 to extract those pages into a new file, delete pages you do not need, rotate pages that were scanned sideways, or save every page as a separate file.

Your PDFs are never uploaded. All the work happens inside your browser on your own device, which makes it a good fit for homework, application forms, contracts and ID scans.

Page counts and the size of the finished file are shown before you save.

For PDF processing the page downloads an open-source library (pdf-lib, MIT license) from the jsDelivr CDN; your documents themselves are never sent anywhere.

Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened, so remove the protection first. The total size limit is 100 MB, and bookmarks or form fields may not be kept after merging, so keep your originals.

Use it only with documents you have the right to edit.

How to use

  1. Choose the Merge or Split tab, then pick your PDF files or drag and drop them.
  2. To merge, set the order with the arrows. To split, enter page ranges like 1-3,5,8-10 and choose extract, delete, rotate or one file per page.
  3. Check the page count and file size, then download the result.
