About this tool
This free tool hides personal information in a photo before you share it online.
Drag a rectangle or paint with the brush over a face, a license plate, an address, a name in a chat screenshot or a document number, then choose a mosaic, a blur or a solid black box.
Your photo is never uploaded. All the editing happens in your browser on your own device, so nobody else receives a copy.
Blur and mosaic can sometimes be partly reversed, especially on small text, so for ID numbers, addresses and names use the black box.
You can undo and redo each step, switch between fit and larger zoom, and draw with a finger on a phone.
The saved JPG or PNG keeps the original resolution, and because the picture is re-encoded, hidden EXIF data such as GPS location and camera details is removed.
Images over 40 megapixels are not opened, to keep your device responsive. Always check the result at full size before posting it, since the tool cannot detect faces or text for you.
The tool does not guarantee that a person or information cannot be identified.
How to use
- Choose a photo or drag and drop it (JPG, PNG or WebP).
- Pick the rectangle or brush, choose mosaic, blur or black box, and cover the areas to hide.
- Zoom in to check the result, then download it as JPG or PNG.
