About this tool
A Korean social insurance calculator (the 4 major insurances, 4대보험 calculator) shows how much is taken from a monthly paycheck for the National Pension, National Health Insurance, long-term care insurance and employment insurance.
The employee pays about half of the first three and the employee rate of employment insurance, while the employer pays the rest and also covers industrial accident insurance, which employees do not pay.
Default rates used here, for reference as of 2026: National Pension 9.5% split equally, so 4.75% for you; health insurance 7.19% split equally, so 3.595%; long-term care 13.14% of your health premium; employment insurance 0.9%.
Pension contributions are calculated on a base income that is limited to a floor and a cap (the cap here is 6,590,000 won and the floor 410,000 won (applied from July 2026 to June 2027), which the National Pension Service revises every July).
All rates and limits are editable fields because they change; check the current notice from the National Pension Service and the National Health Insurance Service. Each item is rounded down to 10 won in this tool.
How much is deducted from a 3,000,000 won monthly pay? Pension 142,500, health 107,850, long-term care 14,170 and employment 27,000, a total of 291,520 won, leaving 2,708,480 won before income tax.
What about 4,000,000 won? Pension 190,000, health 143,800, long-term care 18,890 and employment 36,000, a total of 388,690 won. Do non-taxable allowances count?
Meals up to the legal limit are usually excluded from the base, so enter your taxable-basis monthly pay. Does it include income tax? No, only the four insurances, so use a salary tax calculator for tax.
The result is a reference estimate and does not replace advice from a labor or tax professional.
