About this tool
This typing speed test measures how fast and how accurately you type, in English or in Korean.
In English mode the score is WPM (words per minute): every five characters count as one word, so WPM equals correct characters divided by five, divided by the minutes you typed.
In Korean mode the score is keystrokes per minute (타수): each Hangul syllable is split into its jamo and counted as the keys you press on a standard 2-set keyboard, where double consonants such as ㄲ count as one key with shift, while compound vowels such as ㅘ and compound final consonants such as ㄳ count as two.
Accuracy is the share of typed characters that match the practice text, and you may fix mistakes with backspace.
