About this tool
Wondering what to wear today?
This outfit guide turns the temperature on your phone into a clear suggestion.
Type the air temperature, choose Celsius or Fahrenheit, and the matching range lights up in the table with a list of layers, from a thin tee at 28°C and above to a padded coat, gloves and a hat at 4°C and below.
Is the number you see the same as how it feels? Not always, so tick the windy or rainy box and the guide treats the day as about 3°C colder. What if the morning is cool and the afternoon is warm?
Check the high and the low, then dress in layers you can take off, such as a cardigan over a tee. For example, 15°C falls in the 12 to 16 range, where a jacket or a cardigan over a knit works well.
This tool does not read live weather; you enter the temperature yourself, so nothing is requested from a server.
The ranges are a common rule of thumb, not a forecast, and people feel cold differently, so adjust by a layer if you tend to run warm or cool.
