About this tool
Water Habit Tracker is a free daily water log that turns a small habit into a pretty blue calendar.
Each day, tap up to ten droplets for the glasses you drank, and the calendar square gets a deeper blue the more you log. You can also call it a water intake log, a drink-more-water checklist or a daily glass counter.
This page is only about the habit of remembering to drink and writing it down. It does not tell you how much water you should drink and it makes no health claims. How do you use it?
Open the page and tap the droplet that matches how many glasses you have had today. Tap the last filled droplet again to take one glass back. Tap any earlier day to fix it, and use the arrows to browse other months.
The goal number is only a friendly marker for your own use: the page counts days when you reached eight glasses, but you can ignore it and just watch the colors.
Under the calendar you see total glasses this month, days at your goal, your current streak of logged days and your best streak. Where is my data?
Your entries are saved in your browser's local storage on this device, under keys that start with sugi-water-habit-tracker. There are no accounts and no server, so nothing you tap or type is uploaded.
The month card is drawn by your browser; the number of glasses never leaves the page unless you choose to copy or share the short summary.
Because the data lives in the browser, clearing site data or switching phones removes it, so use Export backup now and then and Import backup to restore it. Clear all data wipes everything for this tool in one tap.
The flame line at the top counts how many days in a row you opened this page, which is separate from your logged streak. Is there a daily note? Yes. A small tip about the habit changes each day.
It combines 12 moments of the day with 12 gentle habit nudges, giving 144 different notes that cycle through before any repeats.
The tips are about routines, such as keeping a bottle in sight, and never about medical amounts. Q: How much should I drink? A: This page does not say.
Needs differ by person, weather and activity, so ask a doctor or dietitian if you wonder. It is a log and a bit of fun, not advice. Q: Why ten droplets? A: It keeps the tapping quick and the calendar colorful.
Q: Does a small cup count? A: You decide what one glass means to you and stay consistent. Q: What does the card show? A: Your blue month, total glasses, days at your goal and streaks.
